Prayers, Promises and Platform 3 is an intriguing theatrical event that follows on from the 2010 sell out success of The Story Project 2 at Southwark Playhouse.

Prayers, Promises and Platform 3 will see a collection of emerging and established writers, directors and actors perform over ten short plays deep within the arches of London Bridge Station. Two different collections can be seen on alternative nights culminating in both collections being performed on Saturday. A new cast, writer and director for each play! This exciting project will showcase the UK’s best emerging practitioners all in one space.

Confirmed writers include Chris Bennion, Tim Downie, Kenneth Emson, Dan Green, Miranda Hennessy, Gareth Jandrell, Emily Juniper, David Lane, Lee Mattinson, Laura Stevens, Brierley Thorpe, Charlie Whitworth and Katy Wix.

The preview with no view.

It’s Edinburgh preview season, and although we are not actually going to Ed this year, we didn’t want to miss out on the action. So ‘Miranda Hennessy and Friends’ will be sharing a preview night with ‘Dregs’ at the Leicester Square Theatre on 23rd June.

They will be doing a preview of their Edinburgh 2011 show and we, will be doing a preview of a slightly longer and better preview we will presumably be doing some time in the future. Sounds ace. I’d buy a ticket now if I wasn’t already in it and tickets had gone on sale yet.

Put it in your diary – 23rd June, 7.30pm. Leicester Square Theatre.

My first play!

Hi Mum, (and anyone else who happens to be reading this, probably by accident.)

I wrote a play! And it’s going to be on at The Southwark Playhouse! Wahey!

It’s going to be part of Ugly Sister Production’s; ‘The Story Project 3’, in the new Vaults space 28th June – 2nd July.

I’m also going to be acting in a piece too on the same nights (greedy) by the lovely Emily Juniper…there’ll be other plays on too, not written by or starring me (boring*).

More info and trailer (for a play? mental) coming soon. x

*Ugly Sister Productions does not share the views of Miranda Hennessy.
